President Prabowo Subianto met with 12 leaders of global investment firms during a meeting held as part of his working visit to Washington, D.C., United States, Friday (02\/20). The investors, comprising chief executive officers and presidents of leading international investment companies, collectively manage assets under management (AUM) totaling approximately USD 15 trillion.<\/p>\n

Minister of Investment and Downstream Industries\/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), who also serves as Chief Executive Officer of Danantara, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, stated that the meeting, initially scheduled for one hour, extended to nearly two hours due to what he described as a highly constructive discussion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe discussion lasted approximately two hours, exceeding the one hour originally scheduled, as it was very fruitful, very productive,\u201d Rosan said in a press statement delivered to media representatives following the meeting.<\/p>\n

During the session, President Prabowo outlined the direction of Indonesia\u2019s national economic policy, measures to strengthen the investment climate, and the Government\u2019s commitment to maintaining stability and legal certainty. The dialogue was followed by one-on-one discussions with each corporate leader to explore further cooperation opportunities.<\/p>\n

Rosan noted that the presence of Danantara received positive appreciation from global investors, viewing it as a potential strategic local partner in various investment schemes, both in Indonesia and globally.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey also see strong potential to partner with Danantara, which provides comfort and confidence, as we can pursue joint investments not only in Indonesia but also internationally,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

Rosan added that on the occasion, President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia no longer wishes to be regarded as a \u201csleeping giant.\u201d The time has come for the nation to rise, move forward, and unlock its full economic potential in collaboration with global partners.
