President Prabowo received commendation from executives of leading global investment firms for his emphasis on legal certainty, good governance, and the strengthening of the national economic system during a meeting held at Washington, D.C., Friday (02\/20).<\/p>\n

Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of\u00a0Danantara (Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency) Pandu Sjahrir stated that the investors\u2019 appreciation stems from the President\u2019s leadership in creating space for strategic dialogue.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, there is strong interest from these investors to invest and collaborate in Indonesia, as well as in other markets abroad,\u201d said Pandu.<\/p>\n

Pandu further noted that these investors particularly value the President\u2019s commitment to strengthening the legal system and ensuring legal certainty as the main foundation of long-term investment.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhrases such as confidence-building were mentioned during the meeting, reflecting their strong appreciation for the President\u2019s emphasis on reinforcing the legal framework and legal certainty,\u201d stated Pandu.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey really appreciate the initiative of President Prabowo to form Danantara, as it can be their potential partner in the future,\u201d added Pandu.<\/p>\n

According to Pandu, President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s direct presence and active involvement in receiving these global CEOs sends a strong signal that Indonesia is serious about building strategic partnerships. Some investors are even considering opening representative offices in Indonesia as a form of long-term commitment.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause for them, having ‘boots on the ground’ is very important, and they greatly appreciate that President Prabowo Subianto was able to receive all of them,\u201d said Pandu.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Anindya Bakrie stated President Prabowo Subianto’s emphasis on corporate governance and legal certainty is a key message for \u00a0strengthening global business confidence.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we observed during the meeting is, first, that Danantara was highly appreciated as a trading partner by the executives. Second, President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s emphasis on corporate governance and legal certainty was strongly highlighted and well received by them,\u201d said Anindya.<\/p>\n

Anindya added that the Danantara\u2019s approach in implementing derisking and crowd-in strategies is in line with President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s directive to build a sustainable, collective (gotong <\/em>royong) national economy.<\/p>\n

The meeting also underscored President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s active role in driving Indonesia\u2019s economic diplomacy and further solidified Indonesia\u2019s position as a stable, trusted, and open strategic partner for global investment.
