President Prabowo Subianto arrives at Haneda Airport, Tokyo, Japan on Sunday (3\/29).<\/p><\/div>\n

President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan, for his first official visit as President of the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n

The Indonesia-1 Presidential Plane carrying President Prabowo and his entourage arrived on Sunday (3\/29), at 7:10 PM local time.<\/p>\n

At the foot of the airstair, the President was welcomed by Japan\u2019s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Iwao Horii, Chie of Japanese Chief of Protocol Tadayuki Miyashita, Indonesian Ambassador to Japan Nurmala Kartini Sjahrir, and Indonesia\u2019s Defense Attach\u00e9 in Tokyo Rear Admiral Hidayaturrahman.<\/p>\n

From the airport, President Prabowo Subianto proceeded directly to his accommodation in Tokyo.<\/p>\n

During his visit, the President is scheduled to pay a state call on Japanese Emperor Naruhito and hold a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.<\/p>\n

Indonesia and Japan have maintained a comprehensive cooperative partnership for 68 years across strategic areas, including economics, politics and socio-cultural sectors. In recent years, the partnership has continued to strengthen.<\/p>\n

The visit underscores the long-standing close partnership between Indonesia and Japan, which is founded on mutual trust and respect built over decades of cooperation.<\/p>\n

The President’s trip is expected to create new opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration and further reinforces the partnership between the two countries.<\/p>\n

Earlier, President Prabowo Subianto took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta at 10:35 AM Western Indonesian Time.<\/p>\n

Accompanying the Head of State on the flight to Tokyo were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
