President Prabowo Subianto arrives at the hotel where he would stay in Tokyo and warmly welcomed by members of the Indonesian diaspora, Sunday (03\/29).<\/p><\/div>\n

A warm atmosphere prevailed when President Prabowo Subianto, on Sunday (03\/29), arrived at the hotel where he would stay in Tokyo. The President arrived at around 8.00 p.m. local time and was warmly greeted by members of the Indonesian diaspora who had been waiting for him.<\/p>\n

At the hotel entrance, the welcoming moment took on a cultural touch as three Indonesian children dressed in traditional attire stood neatly and presented flowers to the President as an expression of the diaspora\u2019s affection and pride for their Head of State.<\/p>\n

As the President entered the hotel grounds, the atmosphere grew even livelier. Several Indonesian ministers who had arrived earlier were also present to welcome him, along with dozens of diaspora members from diverse professional and academic backgrounds. Many lined up excitedly, and some were visibly emotional upon seeing President Prabowo in person.<\/p>\n

For Taufiq, an engineer working for an electricity consultancy in Japan, the occasion was unforgettable.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday is my first time meeting Mr. Prabowo Subianto in person. It feels extraordinary, you know? Why extraordinary? Because out of 280\u2013290 million people, we got the chance to meet President of the Republic of Indonesia directly. So yes, this is extraordinary, delighted, and it will surely become a core memory for me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Ara, a nurse who has lived in Japan for many years, echoing a similar sentiment by admitting that she did not expect to meet the President face-to-face.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was actually nervous. Beyond expectations, we were able to meet him. And maybe this is also an opportunity for the diaspora in Japan to gather,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The opportunity was even more memorable when Ara managed to get President Prabowo’s autograph. She recounted the moment with enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe since all of us made a line and I was right at the end close to the President. He was very friendly, he approached us one by one, and alhamdulillah<\/em> , I got the chance to have something signed,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Tiwi, a doctoral student at Chuo University who came with representatives of the Indonesian Student Association in Japan, expressed her joy over the President\u2019s visit. Although she did not have the chance to speak directly with him, the moment remained meaningful.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very happy, of course. And this is my first time meeting him in person. Even though we didn\u2019t get to talk, I\u2019m still very glad the President is here,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Tiwi also expressed her hopes for stronger Indonesia\u2013Japan relations following the visit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope the strong diplomatic ties between Japan and Indonesia will open up more opportunities for the Indonesian diaspora, and for people in Indonesia who want to come to Japan, or vice versa, whether for knowledge transfer, investment, or economic collaboration. I hope things will continue to improve in the future,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo\u2019s presence in Tokyo was not only part of his diplomatic agenda, but it also served as a warm moment of connection between the nation\u2019s leader and Indonesians abroad.<\/p>\n
