President Prabowo Subianto attended the Indonesia-Japan Business Forum at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo, Monday (03\/30).<\/p>\n

The President\u2019s presence at the forum marked a pivotal moment to bolster the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Japan in the fields of economy, investment, and future industrial development.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo affirmed that Japan is a crucial partner for Indonesia. Economic relations between the two countries have flourished for decades, driven by significant contributions from Japanese companies across various sectors. He also extended appreciation to Japanese business actors who have long invested in Indonesia and contributed to the nation\u2019s development journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cJapan has consistently supported Indonesia\u2019s economic development. Many of you in this room have been part of that journey. You\u2019ve been in Indonesia for a long time. You know Indonesia well, including its people, market, culture, and potential,\u201d said President Prabowo.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, President Prabowo said that his attendance was not merely to continue the existing partnerships but also to promote them to a higher level and push it faster. He underscored the importance for close cooperation amid a more interconnected world, while expressing confidence that robust economic ties will create sustainable peace and friendship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am here not only to continue the existing partnerships but to push them to a higher level and faster. The world is shrinking. There\u2019s no choice but close cooperation in all fields. I believe strong economic relations and partnerships will yield sustainable peace and friendship. With shared interests, we safeguard the present and the future,\u201d President Prabowo stated.<\/p>\n

The Head of State also highlighted Indonesia\u2019s forward momentum and growing competitiveness compared to two decades ago. He emphasized Indonesia\u2019s entry into a new, accelerated growth phase, backed by strong commitments to enhance competitiveness and foster a more investment-friendly climate.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou must also know that Indonesia today is not the Indonesia you knew 20 or 25 years ago. We\u2019re moving faster than before. We\u2019re striving to be more competitive and determined to enter a new growth phase,\u201d added the President.<\/p>\n

Before global business leaders, President Prabowo asserted that Japan is one of Indonesia\u2019s most reliable economic partners. Japanese companies are known for their high quality, discipline, technological advancement, and long-term commitment. He personally expressed profound appreciation for the close bilateral relations.<\/p>\n

\u201cJapan brings quality to investments, discipline, technology, and long-term commitment. That\u2019s why Japanese investments are respected not only in Indonesia but worldwide, and personally, I greatly value this relationship,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

The forum has given Indonesia the opportunity to reaffirm its role as Japan\u2019s key strategic partner in the region, while opening a new era of modern, resilient, and focused on future economic cooperation.
