Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, delivers a press statement to media in Seoul on Tuesday (3\/31).<\/p><\/div>\n

The Indonesian Government ensures that fuel prices, particularly subsidized fuel, will not rise amid fluctuations of global energy prices. This policy demonstrates the Government’s commitment to maintaining public purchasing power and national economic stability.<\/p>\n

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, emphasized that there will be no changes to subsidized fuel prices. The decision was made based on the directives of President Prabowo Subianto and joint meeting results.<\/p>\n

“There will be no price adjustments for subsidized fuel, meaning it’s flat, still at the current price,” Bahlil stated in a press statement to the media in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, on Tuesday (3\/31).<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, regarding the non-subsidized fuel, the Government is still conducting further discussions with Pertamina and private fuel suppliers, thus no decision has been made regarding price adjustments. Similarly, for Pertamina Dex fuel, Bahlil confirmed that there will be no price increase at this time.<\/p>\n

On the same occasion, he also urged the public to remain wise in energy consumption, particularly in fuel use, adding that this is a form of public supports in collaborating with the Government.<\/p>\n

“I urge everyone to understand that in such situation, the Government cannot work alone. We need public supports and cooperation. How can we do that? We must purchase fuel reasonably and wisely,” he said.<\/p>\n

He also reminded the public to only refer to official information provided by the Government to avoid misunderstandings amid the rapid development of information related to energy.<\/p>\n

The Government will keep on conducting regular reviews of global energy price developments to ensure that policies taken remain aligned with the public interests, especially vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n
