President Prabowo Subianto leads limited meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (04\/07).<\/p><\/div>\n

The Government continues to accelerate the transformation and restructuring of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to make them better, more efficient, and competitive.<\/p>\n

This was conveyed by the Head of the BUMN Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) Dony Oskaria after attending a limited meeting chaired by President Prabowo Subianto at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday (04\/07).<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year, we must complete all BUMN restructuring and it is expected to be finished on time. And not only on time, but also fundamentally completed,\u201d Dony told the media after the meeting.<\/p>\n

In an effort to strengthen competitiveness, the Government is also carrying out consolidation in various strategic sectors. One of them is the merger of several asset management companies into a larger and more competitive entity. A similar step is being taken in the logistics sector, where 15 companies will be merged into one national logistics company.<\/p>\n

\u201cInsyaAllah<\/em>, this will also be completed within this month. We will announce 15 companies that will become our one national logistics company. We reported this one by one. InsyaAllah<\/em>, hopefully the BUMN transformation process will be even faster and its benefits will be felt more by the Indonesian people,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Government is also promoting the strengthening of the public transportation sector, particularly railways. Electrification of railway lines on several strategic routes such as Jakarta\u2013Rangkas, Jakarta\u2013Cikampek, and Jakarta\u2013Sukabumi is being prepared to improve services to the public.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, the railway must become a healthy company, capable of providing good public transportation services to the people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Government continues to focus on completing the restructuring of the debt for the Jakarta\u2013Bandung High-Speed Railway, or Whoosh. Dony stated that the finalization process has reached the final stage and will soon be announced together with Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa in the near future.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just discussed it with the Finance Minister. There is already an agreement. It\u2019s completed. Studies and so on have been completed. Now it\u2019s just the formal process left,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Regarding the impact of global dynamics, including the conflict in the Middle East, Dony mentioned that BUMN performance remains relatively stable overall. Although there has been a decline in traffic in the aviation sector due to certain route restrictions, the impact is deemed insignificant to overall performance.<\/p>\n

The Government emphasizes that all these transformation steps aim to accelerate BUMN performance while ensuring public services continue to run optimally, and even improve further in the future.
