President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that efforts to safeguard state finances and reclaim strategic assets have delivered tangible benefits to society. This was conveyed in his remarks during the ceremony for the sixth phase of the handover of administrative fines and the reclamation of forest areas at the Indonesian Attorney General\u2019s Office Complex in Jakarta, Friday (04\/10).<\/p>\n

In his address, the President underscored that efforts to safeguard state finances have been carried out repeatedly over the past one and a half years. He described these achievements as concrete steps to ensure that any potential state losses can be recovered and utilized for the benefit of the people.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs of today, the total amount of cash we have successfully recovered stands at Rp31.3 trillion. This is a very significant figure,\u201d the President stated.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo highlighted that the substantial funds recovered could be used to improve and ensure more equitable access to quality education. He also noted that this achievement has the potential to exceed previous development outcomes, which had remained limited.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year, we managed to rehabilitate only 17,000 schools. This means that with these funds, we could potentially double the allocation, especially considering that many schools have not undergone repairs for decades,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

Beyond the education sector, President Prabowo explained that safeguarding state finances also has a direct impact on improving the welfare of low-income communities. He noted that these funds could expand the reach of housing programs, enabling more people to benefit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe assistance for housing renovations for low-income communities could also help improve more than 500,000 homes, thereby benefiting around 2 million of our citizens in this income group,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, President Prabowo stated that these efforts also include the reclamation of state assets in the form of forest areas with a very high value. He assessed this achievement as having strong strategic potential to promote more equitable national development.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe task force has successfully reclaimed state assets in the form of forest areas, which, if valued, amount to approximately Rp370 trillion. By comparison, our total state budget stands at around Rp3,700 trillion. This means that, over the past one and a half years, the Forest Area Task Force has secured assets equivalent to nearly 10 percent of the state budget,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

According to the President, the value of these assets could be utilized to accelerate infrastructure development and improve the quality of public facilities across Indonesia. He further illustrated that optimal utilization would bring significant changes to people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we consider Rp370 trillion, we could estimate that all schools across Indonesia could be rehabilitated, modernized, and equipped with digital technology, including smart digital screens. We could also improve sanitation facilities in all schools and build thousands of bridges in rural areas. We can imagine how the lives of our people would be transformed through the recovery of funds and assets that you have achieved,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo reaffirmed that every rupiah recovered belongs to the people and must be returned for the greatest possible prosperity of the nation.
