President Prabowo Subianto Monday (4\/27) summoned Minister of Manpower Yassierli to the Merdeka Palace to receive an update on strategic employment programs, particularly the development of workforce competencies and vocational trainings for the national labor force.<\/p>\n

“First, the inaugural batch of the National Internship Program has been completed, with around 14,000 participants. I previously reported on this, including the evaluation results,” the Minister told reporters after the meeting.<\/p>\n

Yassierli added that the National Internship Program also enabled participants to receive free competency certification at Ministry of Manpower offices.<\/p>\n

“The first-batch participants are now preparing to obtain certification by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). That is what I reported, and alhamdulilah<\/em>, the President responded positively,” he said.<\/p>\n

Regarding the plan to increase the national internship quota, the Minister said that the evaluation results and recommendations from the ongoing program had been submitted.<\/p>\n

“There will be follow-up discussions with other technical ministries, including Ministry of Finance, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, among others,” he added.<\/p>\n

In addition to the National Internship Program, the Minister also reported on the implementation of the first batch of the ongoing national vocational training, which he said is designed to reach two target groups.<\/p>\n

“So, we have one program for university graduates and another for high school and vocational school graduates, with a total of 10,500 participants, as I also reported earlier,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Minister also underscored that vocational training programs are a strategic means of improving the competence of the national workforce, an effort reinforced by the presence of Ministry of Manpower training centers across various regions.<\/p>\n

“We already have several schemes in place, and alhamdulilah<\/em>, the President has expressed his support. This will be one of our priority programs in 2026,” the Minister concluded.<\/p>\n
