President Prabowo Subianto affirmed the Government\u2019s commitment to improving the quality of national education. In a press statement following his visit to Cilacap Senior High School 1 in Central Java province, the President expressed optimism that schools across Indonesia will be improved by 2028.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope the renovation of all schools will be completed in 2028. If I am not mistaken, we have 288 thousand schools. This year, the renovation of 87 thousand schools will be completed. So, we still have another 200 thousand to get revamped. If we can get 100 thousand schools renovated in 2027, and 100 thousand in 2028, then all schools in Indonesia will have undergone renovation,\u201d he said, on Wednesday (29\/4).<\/p>\n

However, the Government will not only focus on renovation; the President also expressed concern about improving learning quality through the use of digital technology in classrooms.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will not stop there. All schools must be renovated and their qualities improved. I hope all classrooms can have a digital screen, a smart classroom. Today, we only have one or two screens per school,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

To support this initiative, the President aimed to add digital learning devices in every school. \u201cSo, we aim to add another 3 or 4. This year, we will try to provide 3 more devices across Indonesia. This enables more interactive classrooms, and the school\u2019s syllabus will be available in the software, which will be helpful. It will help teachers and students to recall the learning materials,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In addition, the President explained the initiative to develop an integrated learning studio that will provide the best educators, including native speakers of foreign languages. This is aimed at improving language skills for students from an early age.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will have a central studio in Jakarta. The best teachers, for example, English teachers will be native speakers who can teach them all, and teachers of other languages as well. We want more children to be able to use English, Mandarin, and other foreign languages from primary schools,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

This initiative marks the Government\u2019s commitment to Indonesia\u2019s future, starting with high-quality classrooms that are equipped with technology and the nation\u2019s character, and assisted by the best educators.
