President Prabowo Subianto makes an unexpected stop at Miangas Army Post (Posad) in Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi, on Saturday (05\/09).<\/p><\/div>\n

During a journey to an inspection site in Special District of Miangas, Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi, on Saturday (05\/09), President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s motorcade made an unscheduled stop at the Miangas Army Post (Posad). The stop was not part of the President\u2019s official itinerary, but was a spontaneous decision made as the convoy passed the security post.<\/p>\n

As the President\u2019s vehicle passed by, two soldiers on duty stood at attention and rendered a respectful salute. Upon noticing the gesture, the President instructed the vehicle to stop. The Head of State then stepped out of his car to personally approach and greet the soldiers.<\/p>\n

The brief encounter was marked by warmth and camaraderie. The two soldiers stationed at Posad Miangas were Second Sergeant Alan Mandibo from the 19th<\/sup> Combat Engineer Battalion (Yonsipur 19) and Private First Class Armoko from the 131st<\/sup> Military Resort Command (Korem 131). Both have been serving in Miangas for the past 11 months, guarding one of Indonesia\u2019s outermost territories.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving the opportunity to converse directly with the President is a great honor for us as soldiers. It was our first time meeting him in person, greeting him, shaking hands, and having a brief chat while showing him our barracks and the post,\u201d they expressed.<\/p>\n

During the conversation, the President inquired about various aspects of the soldiers\u2019 lives in Miangas, including access to clean water. \u201cThe President asked us about our water source for daily needs such as cooking, bathing, and washing. We informed him that we have a well and that the water is clean,\u201d They noted.<\/p>\n

The President also asked about the duration of their deployment and the well-being of their families. For Alan and Armoko, the President\u2019s attention left a lasting impression. They described the President as a firm leader who remains close to soldiers serving in the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my view, the President is firm yet very attentive to his personnel. He is deeply caring, which was evident when he immediately stopped by and visited our post,\u201d One of them remarked.<\/p>\n

The two soldiers admitted they had never expected to meet the President face-to-face at their remote deployment post at the northernmost tip of Indonesia. \u201cWe truly never expected to meet the President directly,\u201d They concluded.
