President Prabowo Subianto visits Red and White Fishing Village (KNMP) in South Leato subdistrict, Gorontalo city, Gorontalo province, on Saturday (05\/09).<\/p><\/div>\n

President Prabowo Subianto on Saturday (05\/09) reaffirmed the Government\u2019s commitment to pay closer attention to fishers throughout Indonesia.<\/p>\n

In his remarks during a visit to Gorontalo province to inspect the Red and White Fishing Village (KNMP), the President lauded fishers for braving significant risks at seas to support their families and help meet the community\u2019s food needs. The Head of State noted that fishing is a demanding profession since it is full of challenges and nature is unpredictable.<\/p>\n

\u201cI understand that fishers face enormous risks. The sea can be frightening. The weather can change at any moment, and the current can become dangerous. You dedicate yourselves to providing food for your families, community, and the people. For that, I am truly grateful,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo went on to say that the Government is committed to improve fishers\u2019 welfare and respect the profession, as their wellbeing has often been overlooked.<\/p>\n

\u201cTherefore, I am determined to improve the welfare of and honor our fishers throughout Indonesia. Fishers are often overlooked,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
