The Government continues to strengthen community empowerment by bolstering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), expanding social protection, and accelerating national poverty alleviation.<\/p>\n

This was conveyed by Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar following his meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (5\/12).<\/p>\n

“The President will continue to give serious attention to our MSMEs and the creative economy. All programs initiated and implemented by the Coordinating Ministry and other ministries will be sustained, particularly by encouraging, requesting, and instructing ministries and institutions to keep facilitating our MSMEs so they can grow and receive adequate support,” Muhaimin said in his statement.<\/p>\n

The Minister also noted stated that the Government will continue to encourage ministries, institutions, and state-owned enterprises to support MSME growth by using underutilized assets and public spaces for marketing, product showcases, and MSMEs festivals.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Government plans to increase dedicated budget allocation to further strengthen MSMEs and creative economy programs.<\/p>\n

“This year, the Government will increase the special budget for all MSMEs and creative economy activities. I am proposing no less than Rp1 trillion, and inshaallah<\/em>, this amount will continue to be raised for programs that drive the growth and development of our MSMEs, as well as for facilitating credit, especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), through the People’s Business Credit (KUR),” he added.<\/p>\n

Regarding social protection, Muhaimin stated that the State Budget allocation for social protection programs has reached Rp508.2 trillion.<\/p>\n

“As of today, our State Budget has allocated Rp508.2 trillion, which covers cash social assistance, the Family Hope Program (PKH), and premium assistance for the national health insurance program, with energy subsidies being redirected to become more targeted,” he said.<\/p>\n

Muhaimin also stated that the Government is continuing to integrate beneficiary data to make social assistance more accurately targeted, ensuring its proper distribution through the use of the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN).<\/p>\n

“Based on the President\u2019s directive today, all ministries and institutions must consistently rely on the single social and economic data in distributing all Government programs,” he said.<\/p>\n

Muhaimin further explained that the Government has designated 88 regencies\/cities as priority areas for poverty alleviation to better focus interventions at the local level. This measure is intended to support the target of bringing extreme poverty down to zero percent by 2026 and reducing the overall poverty rate to five percent by 2029.<\/p>\n
