After the inauguration of the Marsinah Museum and the Resting House in Nganjuk regency, East Java province, President Prabowo Subianto Saturday (05\/16) continued his itinerary by paying his respects at Marsinah\u2019s grave.<\/p>\n

The graveside visit was conducted in a solemn and deeply respectful manner, serving as a state tribute to the struggle of the female laborer, who is remembered as a symbol of courage and the fight for workers\u2019 rights in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Marsinah\u2019s grave is located about one kilometer from the newly inaugurated museum complex.<\/p>\n

Upon arriving at the cemetery, the Head of State walked towards her tomb, accompanied by several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet.<\/p>\n

At Marsinah’s graveside, the President scattered flowers and offered a brief prayer for the late [heroine]. The moment served as a meaningful conclusion to the inauguration events for the Marsinah Museum, which was packed that day with locals and workers from various regions across the country.<\/p>\n

In his remarks during the museum\u2019s inauguration, President Prabowo Subianto revealed that the aspiration to designate Marsinah as a national hero originated from Indonesian workers themselves.<\/p>\n

The Head of State noted that labor organizations across the country submitted a single name they believed represented the struggle of the working-class in Indonesia: Marsinah.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey speak with one voice; all labor organizations agree on Marsinah as a national hero, and I have the distinct honor of proclaiming her as a national hero,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s visit served as a symbol of profound respect for the struggle of a female laborer whose name lives in the hearts and minds of the majority of Indonesian working-class people.<\/p>\n

The newly inaugurated museum and the resting house are also intended to be more than just a memorial space; they served as a reminder to the younger generation of the importance of fighting for justice, human rights, and support for workers (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat<\/strong>) (NST\/EP)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
