President Prabowo Subianto witnessed the handover of Rp10,270,051,886,464 in administrative fines and 2,373,171.75 hectares of forest land at an event held at the Attorney General’s Office complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (5\/13). The handover was the Government’s efforts to safeguard state assets through forest area regulation and corruption eradication.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, President Prabowo emphasized that the rescue of state assets was not merely ceremonial, but rather concrete evidence of the state’s commitment to the interests of the people. The Head of State stated that the public now demands concrete results from the Government’s work.<\/p>\n

“Ladies and gentlemen, such events should not be considered mere ceremonies or show-offs. I believe that our people want to see proof,” he said.<\/p>\n

The President told that this was the fourth handover event, with the total value of the rescued assets reaching approximately Rp40 trillion. He said the rescue of state assets will be used to accelerate the development of public service facilities, including the renovation of community health centers (Puskesmas<\/em>) and schools throughout Indonesia.<\/p>\n

The Head of State said the Government is currently accelerating the renovation of education facilities in Indonesia. After renovating 17,000 schools last year, the Government is targeting to renovate 70,000 schools this year and 100,000 schools next year.<\/p>\n

“And next year, we will also complete it. We will renovate all the Islamic schools. We will renovate everything with money that, if we don’t save it, would have been lost, corrupted by thieves and robbers,” said the President.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, President Prabowo also expressed his appreciation to all members of the Forest Area Regulation Task Force, Attorney General’s Office, Indonesian National Police, Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI), Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), and Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) for their cooperation in safeguarding state assets. The President also emphasized that state control over natural resources is a constitutional mandate that must be carried out for the welfare of the Indonesian people.<\/p>\n

“Wherever they are, the land and water, and all the natural resources contained therein, are mandated by the 1945 Constitution. This is not Prabowo Subianto’s idea. This is not something we invented. This is an order from the founding fathers of the Indonesian nation,” he stated.<\/p>\n

He also emphasized that the struggle to safeguard the nation’s assets will continue for the future of Indonesia and future generations. “This must stop, and we will fight hard to stop it, at all costs,” the President concluded.<\/p>\n
