President Prabowo Subianto delivers a speech at a plenary session of the House of Representatives at Nusantara Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (5\/20).<\/p><\/div>\n

President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (5\/20) delivered a speech on the Macroeconomic Framework and 2027 State Budget Fiscal Policy during the 19th<\/sup> plenary session of the House of Representatives (DPR), held at Nusantara Building, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

The President was welcomed by Speaker of the DPR Puan Maharani, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, and Vice Speakers of the DPR, and then proceeded to a group photo before entering the meeting room.<\/p>\n

The meeting began with the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya. Then, continued with opening remarks by the Speaker of the DPR before the President\u2019s speech to the House of Representatives and invitees.<\/p>\n

In his speech, President Prabowo stated economic policy direction and state fiscal policy as preliminary discussion materials for the 2027 state budget drafting, using the momentum of the National Awakening commemoration.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe state budget is the reflection of our fight as a nation. It is a tool to protect people. A tool to strengthen the foundations and dimensions of the national economy. A tool to ensure every citizen lives more prosperous, and as a guideline for the nation\u2019s future journey. With that awareness, our state budget is arranged as a joint commitment to achieve the precious goal as mandated by our constitution, the 1945 Constitution,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

In addition, the President explained that the Government has maintained national economic optimism amid geopolitical challenges and geoeconomic uncertainties. He emphasized that global dynamics definitely affect national conditions.<\/p>\n

\u201cTherefore, based on our current situation, I believe that the President of the Republic of Indonesia must present to convey the fundamental ideas of the national economy and management,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

The President also affirmed the Government\u2019s commitment to continue national development through fiscal management that is healthy, well-targeted, and supports national priorities\u2014food security, education, health, and people\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n
