President Prabowo Subianto Monday (5\/25) inaugurated the renovated Museum and Library of the Army Command and Staff College (Seskoad) in Bandung city, West Java province.<\/p>\n

The inauguration affirmed Seskoad’s role as a strategic educational institution that has nurtured many great leaders, both at the national and international levels.<\/p>\n

“By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim<\/em>, this morning, Monday, May 25, 2026, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby inaugurate the renovation of the museum and library of the Army Command and Staff College (Seskoad),” said the President.<\/p>\n

Seskoad has a long-standing reputation for producing graduates who go on to become leaders of the Indonesian nation.<\/p>\n

Among them are the second Indonesian President Suharto, the sixth Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and the current President Prabowo Subianto.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, three other Seskoad graduates have served as Vice President of Indonesia, namely the fourth Vice President Umar Wirahadikusumah, the fifth Vice President Sudharmono, and the sixth Vice President Try Sutrisno.<\/p>\n

Seskoad not only contributes to Indonesia, but also enjoys an international reputation, having produced four Singaporean Army Chiefs of Staff who studied at the institution. They are Neo Kian Hong, who served from 2007 to 2010, Melvyn Ong Su, who served from 2015 to 2018, David Neo Chin Wee, who served from 2022 to 2025, and the current Singaporean Army Chief of Staff Cai Dexian.<\/p>\n

At the Seskoad Museum, their history, journey, and dedication of these leaders are displayed to inspire officers currently undergoing education.<\/p>\n

Head of the Seskoad Department of Struggle and Doctrine Colonel Arhanud Desi Ariyanto stated that the museum serves as an important learning space for officers to understand the history of struggle and leadership.<\/p>\n

“The purpose of establishing this museum at that time was to explore all aspects of history because, as military personnel, we must understand, in particular, the history of war and the military, and through that history we learn about leadership,” said Desi Ariyanto.<\/p>\n

In addition to the museum, Seskoad also has a large library housing 42,000 books. Each year, around 500 students, including around 30 international students, pursue their studies at Seskoad.<\/p>\n

“They study here. On the first floor of the museum, they learn history. On the second floor, they equip themselves with abilities and skills, sharpening their thinking in both military affairs and public administration,” said Desi Ariyanto.
