President Prabowo opens the 18th National Congress (Musyawarah Nasional\/Munas) of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) in Bandar Lampung city, Lampung province, on Wednesday (06\/10).<\/p><\/div>\n

President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia\u2019s commitment to its long-standing independent and active foreign policy amidst increasingly complex global geopolitical dynamics. The President conveyed this commitment in his remarks at the Opening of the 18th<\/sup> National Congress (Musyawarah Nasional\/Munas) of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) in Bandar Lampung city, Lampung province, on Wednesday (06\/10).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe situation may change, and the current geopolitical dynamics are quite uncertain. We do not know who is a friend and who is a foe. [Therefore,] we are fortunate to have inherited from our nation\u2019s founding fathers a non-aligned foreign policy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The President emphasized that Indonesia remains committed to fostering good relations with all countries while avoiding alignment with any specific bloc. According to him, this approach represented Indonesia\u2019s commitment to safeguarding national interests while simultaneously contributing to world peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are friends with all nations and all powers. We do not wish to be involved in any military alliance. Therefore, as soon as I received the mandate as President, I immediately outlined that our foreign policy remains non-aligned and independent-active. A thousand friends are too few; one enemy is too many,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

The President also highlighted that Indonesia\u2019s strategic position in various international forums has strengthened its standing and influence in global arena. According to him, Indonesia\u2019s broad network is a diplomatic asset that must be maintained to advocate for national interests.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndonesia is the largest country in ASEAN. We are a member of APEC, a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), now a member of BRICS, and a member of the G20 as well,\u201d the President noted.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Head of State underscored the importance of maintaining constructive relations with world leaders to advance the interests of the Indonesian people. The President noted that state visits and communication with various countries are logical consequences of Indonesia\u2019s position as a respected nation with a significant role in global affairs.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo serve the interests of the people, we must maintain good relations with all countries. That is why I say, Indonesia\u2019s policy is that of a good neighbor.
