President Prabowo Subianto meets with Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu\u2019ti at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, on Thursday (06\/11).<\/p><\/div>\n

The Government has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing education quality nationwide by improving teachers\u2019 welfare and strengthening their professional capacity.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce again, teachers\u2019 allowances have been increased; the allowances of non-civil servant teachers have risen from Rp1.5 million to Rp2 million, while the allowances of civil servant teachers are now equal to their base salary,\u201d Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu\u2019ti said in a press statement following a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, Thursday (06\/11).<\/p>\n

The Minister pointed out that the Government has introduced a new mechanism for distributing allowances, which are now transferred directly to teachers\u2019 bank accounts each month, highlighting the Government\u2019s commitment to simpler and more effective governance.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt shows the President\u2019s commitment to streamlining bureaucracy so that teachers can receive direct benefits from the monthly allowance transferred to their bank accounts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Minister also stated that the Government is committed to enhancing the quality of education through scholarship programs for teachers implemented using the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) system.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2025, we allocated scholarships for 12,500 teachers who had not yet completed an undergraduate program worth Rp3 million per semester. This program, implemented using the RPL system, is now entering its second semester, and Insha Allah<\/em>, some teachers will graduate this year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Minister said that the program will continue in 2026, allocating the same per-semester scholarship award to 150,000 teachers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe registration process is still ongoing because we are still waiting for more teachers to sign up. These are [policies] related to improving teachers\u2019 welfare and enhancing teachers\u2019 quality,\u201d he remarked.
