This effort will focus on raising competency standards, improving mentor quality, strengthening participant, and expanding partnership with the Business and Industry Sectors (DUDI) that have high labor absorption capacity.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe aim to strengthen MagangHub governance through an industry-driven curriculum, standardization of mentor quality, and rigorous evaluation of host companies,\u201d Minister of Manpower Yassierli said during a working meeting of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives with the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday (07\/06).<\/p>\n
The Minister added that the Government is actively working to build a transparent and effective MagangHub ecosystem by strengthening governance and fostering cross-sectoral collaboration involving ministries and agencies, regional governments, universities, and the business and industry sectors.<\/p>\n
The Government is also working to strengthen oversight and guidance to ensure that all host organizations comply with the applicable regulations and safeguard the rights of interns.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the Ministry and Commission IX agreed to expand the program\u2019s geographic coverage and diversify the range of participating industries to ensure broader and more equitable access for young people across the country.<\/p>\n
As part of efforts to enhance its quality, the program will also be integrated with the professional certification system administered by the BNSP.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis integration with the BNSP is essential to ensure that participants obtain nationally recognized professional certification, providing tangible added value as they enter the workforce,\u201d the Minister said.<\/p>\n
Previously, the Government launched the second batch of the program on June 29, 2026. The participant quota was significantly increased from 100,000 to 150,000 people to expand opportunities for university graduates to gain work experience while accelerating their transition into the workforce.<\/p>\n
The increase in quota follows an evaluation of the first batch, which showed positive outcomes in supporting job absorption.<\/p>\n
The Government is also strengthening the quality of the program\u2019s implementation, including by introducing a mechanism to verify internship position requirements submitted by companies, ministries, and agencies to ensure alignment with the competencies and educational backgrounds of prospective participants, as well as implementing a more rigorous selection process for host partners.
