President Prabowo Subianto attended the commemoration of the 28th anniversary of the National Awakening Party (PKB), held at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) in Jakarta on Thursday (07\/23). A solemn atmosphere marked the beginning of a series of activities, which was opened with the singing of the national anthem \u201cIndonesia Raya\u201d, followed by the PKB\u2019s hymn. The event then proceeded with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, a joint prayer, and the reading of the Indonesian Ulema Ijtima as part of efforts to reinforce the party’s moral and national direction in guiding the nation’s journey.<\/p>\n
The act of paying tribute to religious scholars also became an important part of the commemoration. PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar presented awards to five representatives of the Kiai Khos (prominent senior Islamic scholars) as an homage to their service, dedication, and contributions to the PKB’s cause.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar stated that the theme of this year\u2019s PKB anniversary\u2014”A New Direction for the Constitutional Economic Mandate”\u2014is encapsulated in a single term: “Prabowonomics.” According to Muhaimin, the theme reflects both a sense of gratitude and PKB’s commitment to continue steering the new direction of the national economy which is capable of transforming Indonesia into a self-reliant and resilient nation built on its own strengths.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis theme reflects a sense of gratitude and PKB\u2019s steadfast commitment to collectively steer the national economy in a new direction, and to remain a self-reliant and robust national force built upon its own strength. And all of us in PKB are inspired by the President’s spirit and determination to continue steering the new economic direction amidst various formidable challenges, both geoeconomic and geopolitical ones,\u201d Muhaimin said.<\/p>\n
President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the welcome he received and shared that he was happy and deeply moved to attend the commemoration of PKB’s anniversary. The President also expressed appreciation for PKB’s support for the new direction of economic policy currently being implemented by the Government.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wish to express my respect and gratitude for the great honor of being invited to this event. I am truly happy and deeply moved to be here tonight. I am moved because, on the occasion of its anniversary, PKB has so firmly expressed its support for the new direction of our economy.\u201d The President said.<\/p>\n
President Prabowo also addressed the term “Prabowonomics,” which was raised as a theme during the commemoration of the PKB anniversary. According to the Head of State, the economic direction he has promoted is not, in fact, a personal idea, but rather an implementation of the nation’s founders’ ideals and the constitutional mandate.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe steadfastness of my struggle and my convictions are rooted in my belief in the ideals of the nation\u2019s founders. My conviction regarding the Proclamation of August 17, 1945. My conviction regarding our country\u2019s Constitution. My conviction, particularly regarding Article 33 and Article 34 of the 1945 Constitution; that is my conviction. There is nothing new about my ideas. There is nothing extraordinary about them. My ideas simply aim to uphold our Constitution,\u201d said the President.<\/p>\n
President Prabowo calls upon all elements of the nation to continue upholding unity and working together to realize social justice through economic development which is based on the Constitution. Indonesia’s progress can only be achieved if all the nation’s forces work together to ensure that national wealth is managed to the fullest extent for the prosperity of the people, as mandated by the nation’s founders that must be continuously upheld and realized.
