st<\/sup> Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, stated that preparations for the Independence Day ceremony on August 17, 2026, at the Jakarta Presidential Palace have reached 99 percent following the final rehearsal held at the site on Saturday (08\/15).<\/p>\n\u201cGod willing, at 99 percent. We leave the remaining 1 percent to the Almighty. But God willing, in the name of God, [we are ready],\u201d the Minister of State Secretary said.<\/p>\n
The Minister also said that the final rehearsal was a crucial stage in ensuring that all elements involved in the ceremony would be able to carry out their respective roles according to plan.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on the evaluation, we can say that God willing, we are ready to give our best to all the people of Indonesia on Monday. On this occasion, as Chair of the National Committee and the person responsible for the event, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone involved in the process, from the selection process and rehearsals at each respective location, to the joint rehearsals that have continued until today,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Minister also explained that every aspect of the final rehearsal was examined in detail to ensure that nothing was overlooked, and that the entire series of the commemorative events could proceed smoothly. In addition to the technical preparations for the ceremony, the Minister also expressed his appreciation for the artistic and cultural performances featured as part of the celebrations. He said that he was deeply moved by the spirit of nationalism demonstrated by the performers, particularly the youth from various regions across Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cLastly, what we would like to highlight is that the cultural performances during the closing part, many of which involved children, reflected the spirit of nationalism among Indonesia\u2019s younger generation in preserving our national heritage and giving their best when given the opportunity to perform, including in pencak silat. We were deeply moved,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the Minister also said that this spirit reflects the important responsibility of every Indonesian to continue giving their best through their respective roles and professions.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd that is our duty and responsibility, carrying out all the mandates entrusted to us and performing our respective professions to the best of our abilities, both for today and for the future generations to come,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, the Minister also provided an update regarding invitations extended to former Presidents and Vice Presidents to attend the ceremony.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding all former Presidents and Vice Presidents, I cannot mention them one by one because there are many questions about the fifth, sixth, and seventh Presidents. There are also the 10th<\/sup>, 11th<\/sup>, and 12th<\/sup> Vice Presidents.
