{"id":44621,"date":"2016-01-05T10:30:21","date_gmt":"2016-01-05T03:30:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/?p=44621"},"modified":"2016-01-11T10:32:32","modified_gmt":"2016-01-11T03:32:32","slug":"amidst-global-economic-slowdown-sharia-financial-sector-remains-promising-president-jokowi-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/en\/amidst-global-economic-slowdown-sharia-financial-sector-remains-promising-president-jokowi-says\/","title":{"rendered":"Amidst Global Economic Slowdown, Sharia Financial Sector Remains Promising, President Jokowi Says"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_44345\" style=\"width: 240px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-44345\" class=\" wp-image-44345 \" style=\"margin: 5px;\" alt=\"AGG_2806\" src=\"https:\/\/setkab.go.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/AGG_2806-300x199.jpg\" width=\"230\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-44345\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">President Jokowi presiding over a limited meeting at Presidential Office, Jakarta (5\/1)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Joko \u0091Jokowi\u0092 Widodo said that despite global economic slowdown that affects Indonesia\u0092s economy, the development of sharia financial service sector remains promising and can be further developed, evidenced by the growth of sharia banks, sharia investment funds, and sharia non-bank financial industries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The President also appreciated the move made by OJK (Financial Service Authority) to issue policies that are parts of the de-regulation policies to stimulate the growth of sharia banks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u0093Nevertheless, we are hoping for breakthroughs to increase contributions of sharia banks to accelerate the development of national economy,\u0094 the President said in his opening remarks before a Limited Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Office, Jakarta on Tuesday (5\/1).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Therefore, the President expects inputs from OJK, Bank Indonesia and other institutions regarding the plan to establish the Sharia Economic Development Committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u0093I ask for more detailed explanation whether the establishment of this Committee can change the ways to develop sharia financial sector in order to be better and to be in a better synergy (with other related institutions),\u0094 the President added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Jokowi further said that he wants to know functions, tasks and membership of this Committee. He also stressed the importance to consider a legal base of establishment of the Committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also attending the Limited Cabinet Meeting were Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut B.
