Overall, economic growth in Indonesia in 2015 reached 4.79 percent or slowed down compared to 2014 which reached 5.02 percent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a press statement, the Head of BPS Suryamin explained that economic growth in Indonesia in 2014 occured in all business fields, except on Mining and Quarrying which were contracted by 5.08 percent.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u0093Information and Communication are the business fields which experienced the highest growth of 10.06 percent, followed by Financial and Insurance Services at 8.53 percent, and 8.08 percent in other fields,\u0094 Suryamin said to the reporters at the office of Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Jakarta, on Friday (5\/2) morning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on the 2015 business fields, Indonesian economic structure, according to Suryamin, was dominated by three business fields, such as: Manufacture Industry (20.84 percent); Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Industries (13.52 percent); as well as Wholesale-Retail and Car-Motorcycle Repair Industries (13.29 percent).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Suryamin also said that Indonesian spatial economic structure in 2015 was dominated by provincial groups in Java and Sumatra Islands. Provincial groups in Java Island gave the largest contribution to the Gross Domestic Product, which was about 58.29 percent, followed by Sumatra Island 22.21 amounted to percent, and Kalimantan at 8.15 percent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Financial and Insurance Services<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regarding the economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2015 which experienced the highest growth by 5.04 percent, Suryamin explained that the growth occured in all business fields, except on Mining and Quarrying which were contracted by 7.91 percent. In the meantime, Financial and Insurance Services experienced the highest growth of 12.52 percent, followed by Information and Communication 9.74 percent, and Construction 8.24 percent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u0093Indonesia\u0092s economy in the fourth quarter of 2015 was contracted by 1.83 percent. On the production side, it was due to seasonal effect on Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Business Fields which were contracted by 23.34 percent.
