Assalamu\u0092alaikum warrahmatullahi wabarakaatuh<\/i>,<\/i><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i>Today, my entourage and I will soon depart to attend the ASEAN-US Summit in California. For Indonesia, ASEAN partnership with the United States should be put in a partnership context for creating peace and prosperity. <\/p>\n

In manifesting prosperity, Indonesia will encourage an increase in economic welfare in micro, small, medium enterprises sector; entrepreneurship and innovation promotion; including the development of digital economy. In achieving peace, I will exchange ideas with the leaders of ASEAN and the United States concerning peace and security in the region. I am also scheduled to lead a discussion on terrorism.<\/p>\n

I would use the opportunity to share our country\u0092s experiences as a country with the largest muslim population in the world in building tolerance, preventing radicalization and eradicating terrorism. We will raise the importance of community involvement, including through the social media, to counter terrorism.<\/p>\n

Besides meetings with the government leaders, I will also attend US-ASEAN Business Council on 17 February 2016 \u00a0in San Francisco.,\u00a0I will also\u00a0use this opportunity to\u00a0visit Silicon Valley\u00a0to\u00a0have meetings with the CEOs of\u00a0giant IT\u00a0companies.<\/p>\n
