The Indonesian Government has yet to discuss the possibility of issuing a Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) that aims to improve the country\u0092s judicial system, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said.<\/p>\n

The Government has been following the development of Indonesia\u0092s judicial system as many cases involve the country\u0092s judges and law enforcers arose, including judges who were arrested by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in bribery charges and prosecutors at the Attorney General implicated in graft cases, Cabinet Secretary stated.<\/p>\n

It indicates that the system needs to be improved, Pramono added.<\/p>\n

Pramono also considered the KPK, as the guardian of law enforcement, has been carrying out its task of law enforcement.<\/p>\n

\u0093They (law enforcers involved in such cases) turned out getting their own hands dirty and it proves that there is something that needs to be improved,\u0094 Pramono said.<\/p>\n

\u0093The situation shows us that law enforcement in Indonesia, particularly on corruption cases are not well-implemented. However, the Government needs to thoroughly consider reforms in this field thus it will not make the situation more complicated,\u0094 Pramono told the reporters after a limited meeting on Monday (30\/5), at the Presidential Office, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

Pramono also ensures that the Government will listen to the aspirations and demands for justice from the public, media, and analysts over the case and will formulate it into a Perppu when the time comes.<\/p>\n
