President Joko \u0091Jokowi\u0092 believes territorial integrity is and will always be important to be maintained as an early detection of national threats.<\/p>\n

The President made the statement during a communal fast-breaking with families of Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) personnels on Monday (27\/6), at the Plaza of Indonesian National Defence Forces headquarters (Mabes TNI), in Cilangkap, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

\u0093Early detection includes the potential threats to the nation and the state, a threat to the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and interference in our domestic security,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n

The President admitted that there are several academic studies for the country\u0092s input, opinion, and consideration, but the President chose to keep the existence of the territorial units of the TNI.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, President Jokowi said that there is no plan and thought to apologize to the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI).<\/p>\n

\u0093I actually have mentioned it several times, in meetings with Muhammadiyah, Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU), public figures, religious figures, ulemas, as well as in the Pancasila Sanctity Day Ceremony in Lubang Buaya last year,\u0094 the President firmly said.<\/p>\n

However, the President believes that there are some people who stirred up the situation so that the rumors and issues arise again.<\/p>\n

\u0093Do not listen to them. Once again, I do not have a plan to apologize to PKI,\u0094 the President said adding that the most important thing is moving forward to the future.<\/p>\n

We also do not deny the dark moment in a journey of a nation and state, but the most important thing is moving for a better future to prevent such history to happen again, the President stated.<\/p>\n

\u0093Therefore, we must bridge solidarity, be unite, and make the country a competence, developed country that can provide prosperity to its people,\u0094 the President said.<\/p>\n

First Lady Ibu<\/em> Iriana Joko Widodo, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, TNI Commander Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo, Indonesian National Police (Polri) Chief Gen.
