Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution delivers a press statement after a meeting on Tuesday (28\/6), at the office of Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Jakarta.<\/p><\/div>\n

Task Force (Satgas) must accelerate and make economic policies more effective, particularly those which are focused on the deregulation packages.<\/p>\n

The statement was made by Vice President Jusuf Kalla in his directive in a meeting on Tuesday (28\/6) at the office of Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

The Vice President also warned the Task Force not to use many regulations to simplify the regulations in doing their tasks.<\/p>\n

\u0093Do not ignore other policies and limit themselves only to the deregulation packages. This information and explanation must be disseminated to the public,\u0094 the Vice President added as quoted by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution.<\/p>\n

Regarding reform, the Vice President reminded all to issue more comprehensive policies on every sector from upstream to downstream.<\/p>\n

According to Darmin, Task Force for the Acceleration and Effective Implementation of Economic Policy is based on the Presidential Instruction Number 12 of 2015.<\/p>\n

The Presidential Instruction has predicted, estimated that the policy packages which have been implemented since 2015 need to be disseminated, explained, and delivered to the market or public, Darmin added.<\/p>\n

\u0093Among the packages, there will always be one or two packages that will likely to be launched a bit late. Moreover, the packages need to be evaluated and reviewed in the context of its effectiveness and the impact to the economy,\u0094 Darmin said.<\/p>\n

Darmin went on to say that several differences in the existing policies or new regulations were predicted to emerge. It is really possible to have different understanding in the implementation that leads to a new case and differences of opinion in the implementation of economic policy package.<\/p>\n

\u0093We are determined to speed up and make policy packages that have been launched more effective,\u0094 Darmin said.<\/p>\n

For the record, the Task Force that have been launched 2 weeks ago is led by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, along with three deputy chiefs, namely Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and Vice President’s Expert Coordinator Sofjan Wanandi.<\/p>\n

The Task Force is divided into four working groups. The first working group is responsible for the Campaign and Dissemination led by Minister of Trade Thomas Trikasih Lembong and assisted by its deputy chief Head of Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Franky Sibarani. The second working group is responsible for the Regulation Acceleration and Completion led by Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki and assisted by its deputy chief Minister of State Secretary Pratikno. The third working group is responsible for the Evaluation and Impact Assessment (Amdal) led by Bank Indonesia Senior Deputy Governor Mirza Adityaswara and assisted by its deputy chief Senior Economist Raden Pardede. While the \u00a0fourth working group is responsible for Managing and Solving Cases led by Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna M. Laoly and assisted by its deputy chief Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security\u0092s Deputy Chief of Staff Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.<\/p>\n
