President Jokowi Receives Letters of Credence from Six New Ambassadors

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (12/01) received Letters of Credence from six new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (LBPP) of Friendly Countries to the Republic of Indonesia.

The ceremony was held at the Kredensial room at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The ceremony began with the reverberation of the national anthem of each friendly country.

The six new Ambassadors are as follows:

  1. Ardasher Saeed Jaafar Qodiri, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Indonesia, residing in Kuala Lumpur;
  2. Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Rwanda to the Republic of Indonesia, residing in Singapore;
  3. Abdoulaye Barro, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Senegal to the Republic of Indonesia, residing in Kuala Lumpur;
  4. Priit Turk, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to the Republic of Indonesia, residing in Singapore;
  5. Galma Mukhe Boru, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to the Republic of Indonesia;
  6. Jagdishwar Goburdhun, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mauritius to the Republic of Indonesia, residing in Kuala Lumpur.

The submission of the Letters of Credence officially marked the start of the term of office of the Ambassadors in Indonesia.

After the submission of the credentials to the President, the Ambassadors and their respective companions bid their farewell. Indonesia’s national anthem Indonesia Raya was also reverberated during this moment. (FID/UN) (RAS/LW)
