Press Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia after Inspecting COVID-19 Mass Vaccination for Religious Leaders, Islamic Students at Central Java Great Mosque in Semarang
Dipublikasikan pada 10 Maret 2021
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
This afternoon, I visited Semarang City, the Province of Central Java to attend the vaccination event for religious leaders and students of Islamic boarding schools (santri). I saw everything proceed well, the management was well organized, and the process was smooth.
We hope that those who have been vaccinated can be protected from COVID-19 infection and their religious activities could run normally as before.
We also hope that other provinces encourage and call on religious leaders and santri to get vaccinated.
We hope that there are more and more citizens vaccinated and it will build a herd immunity, a community immunity.
We also hope that a transmission rate of COVID-19 in Indonesia will stop. We can prevent it.
That concludes my remarks on this auspicious occasion.
I thank you.
