President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, First Lady Ibu Iriana Jokowi, and the Presidential entourage arrived at Nicolau Lobato Airport, Dili, Timor Leste on Tuesday (26/1) at 10 a.m. local time on the Presidential aircraft.
President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana were welcomed by Chief of Protocol of Timor Leste Francisco Cepeda and Indonesian Ambassador to Democratic Republic Timor Leste Marcellinus Primanto Hendrasmoro at the airstair.
Upon arrival, President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana were welcomed by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Democratic Republic Timor Leste Hernani Coelho, Minister of Home Affairs of Democratic Republic Timor Leste Longuinhos Monteiro, Democratic Republic Timor Leste Ambassador to Indonesia Manuel Serano, and spouse of Indonesian Ambassador to Democratic Republic Timor Leste Peni W. Hendrasmoro.
During the welcoming ceremony, President Jokowi received Tais (Timor Leste traditional scraft) from Noah Alves, while First Lady Iriana Received a souvenir from Tania Da Silva.
Babadok traditional dance performed by Santo Antonio Studio accompanied President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana into the VVIP room of Nicolau Lobato Airport.
After the welcoming procession at Airport finished, President Jokowi, First Lady and the entourage headed to Democratic Republic Timor Leste Presidential Palace to meet with President Taur Matan Ruak.
During the working visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti, Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi, Head of National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarna) Henry Bambang Soelistyo, and Head of National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) Mustari lrawan.
