President Prabowo to Meet with President Putin

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to have several agenda during his two-day visit to the Russian Federation. Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, in his press statement, explained to the media that this visit is the main part of bilateral diplomacy between Indonesia and Russia and it aims to strengthen Indonesia’s role in global issues.

President Prabowo is slated to meet President Vladimir Putin at Constantine Palace or Konstantinovsky on Thursday (06/19). “Tomorrow’s schedule is to meet with President Vladimir Putin,” said the Minister in his press statement on Wednesday (06/18).

Prior to the bilateral meeting with President Putin, President Prabowo will start the agenda by visiting the Memorial Cemetery to lay a wreath and pay tribute. The President’s agenda will be followed by a bilateral meeting and concluded by a luncheon.

Regarding the topics to be discussed in the bilateral meeting, Sugiono ensured that it will not only cover bilateral issues. The two leaders will also discuss regional and global issues.

“I am sure both leaders will also discuss the regional and global issues,” said Sugiono.

On Friday (06/20), President Prabowo is scheduled to be one of the speakers at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025. This prestigious forum is a meeting event for world leaders and global economic stakeholders.

“President Prabowo was invited to speak at the Plenary Session of St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025 and that will conclude the series of the President’s visit in Russia,” said Sugiono. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RD/MM)
