Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, representing President Prabowo Subianto and the Government, extended his greetings to the youth and people of Indonesia on the occasion of Youth Pledge Day.

“On behalf of the President and the Government, we wish all Indonesians a happy Youth Pledge Day. This occasion reminds us that unity is our nation’s greatest strength,” the Minister said.

The Minister noted that the Youth Pledge, declared on October 28, 1928, demonstrated that differences in ethnicity, religion, and regional background were no barriers to national unity. The spirit of the youth who put national interests above personal and group interests must be upheld and passed on to future generations.

“We must continue to uphold the spirit of one motherland, one nation, and one language. Today’s younger generation has a responsibility to carry this struggle forward through their work, innovation, and tangible contributions to society,” he said.

To this end, the Government is committed to creating greater opportunities for young people to learn, develop their potential, and participate in national development. The younger generation is expected to continue strengthening their character, creativity, discipline, and resilience in facing various challenges.

The Minister called on young people to use Youth Pledge Day as a reminder to uphold national unity and strengthen the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) in building the nation.

“We must continue to keep alive the spirit of the Youth Pledge. Let us uphold unity, strengthen mutual cooperation, and work together to serve the people, nation, and state to the best of our ability,” he concluded. (DND – PR of Ministry of State Secretariat) (FI/TM)
