The Indonesian diaspora, Tuesday (02/24), welcomed the arrival of President Prabowo Subianto in the Jordanian capital of Amman.

A crowd of the diaspora waited enthusiastically for the President at the hotel lobby, where he would be staying during his working visit.

At the hotel entrance, two children, Arsyah and Carissa, stood gracefully in traditional attire, handing a bouquet of flowers to the President upon his arrival.

“Welcome to Amman, Mr. President,” they said, to which the President smiled warmly and replied, “Thank you.”

The hotel lobby was instantly filled with applause and warm greetings. To Indonesian students in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the President’s presence felt very close and personal.

Lulu, a student at the University of Jordan, said that she and her colleagues had been waiting for that moment and that she was very happy about this visit.

“I asked him to encourage all of us who study in Jordan, and he motivated us. I am very happy because he was very friendly,” she said.

Echoing a similar sentiment, fellow students Falihah and Isma said that meeting President Prabowo would be an unforgettable experience.

“It was our first time meeting Mr. Prabowo in person, and we’re very happy,” they said.

Other students, Firas, Rendi, and Faruq, also shared their experiences about meeting the President.

“We were glad to be able to meet Mr. Prabowo in person, and alhamdulillah, we got to shake hands with him. It made us very happy,” they said. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (DH/MMB)
