President Prabowo Emphasizes Muslimat NU Key Role in Fostering Future Generation

President Prabowo Subianto Monday (02/10) underscored the key role of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU)’s adult women’s organization Muslimat NU plays in fostering the nation’s future generation.

According to the President, members of Muslimat NU play an essential role in raising and guiding the future generation of Indonesia.

He also delivered appreciation to the women organization of the nation’s largest Islamic organization for its vision to address environmental, sanitary, health, and poverty issues.

“Environmental issue, sanitary, and health [are of particular importance]. Cleanliness is a part of health and beauty. The other issue is poverty alleviation,” he said after the opening of 18th Congress of Muslimat NU in Surabaya, East Java province.

President Prabowo also called for involvement from all sides to develop the nation because active participation from all people can boost the spirit of national development.

“Don’t just sit and wait for the Government, be involved in helping people in needs instead; support the less fortunate and we will rise,” he said.

On that occasion, the Head of State also expressed his optimism about Indonesia’s future.  He was certain of rapid development of the national economy and industry as long as the Government and all elements of the nation work hand in hand with the spirit of togetherness and collaboration.
