Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya Wednesday (05/13) held a meeting with the French Ambassador to Indonesia, His Excellency Mr. Fabien Penone, in preparation of President Macron’s visit to Indonesia.
President Prabowo Subianto will receive the state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron slated to be held from May 27 to 29, 2025. This visit marks a milestone in strengthening strategic cooperation between Indonesia and France.
As one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and the world’s seventh-largest economy, France is Indonesia’s strategic partner on a range of global and regional issues. President Macron’s visit to Indonesia reflects the commitment of both countries to enhance cooperation in facing global challenges.
President Prabowo and President Macron last met in a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Brazil in November 2024. The Indonesian Government welcomes President Macron’s visit plan and expressed hope that the visit will deepen the diplomatic relations between the two countries that have been established for more than 70 years.
