President Prabowo Subianto to Deliver Speech at 80th UNGA

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to deliver a speech at the high-level general debate session of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the UN Headquarters, New York, on Tuesday (9/23), at around 09.00 a.m. local time or 20.00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
According to the written statement of Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya, President Prabowo will be the third speaker following President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil and President Donald Trump of the United States. President Prabowo’s presence at this session is one of main agendas of his working visit to the United States.
This year’s UNGA marks a pivotal moment for Indonesia to reaffirm its active roles in the world’s highest multilateral forum. The Cabinet Secretary emphasized that Indonesia carries a significant mission at this event, which is to strengthen its position as a leader of the Global South that consistently calls for global governance reform.
“This year’s General Assembly marks a pivotal moment for Indonesia on the world stage. By reappearing at the highest level of the UN forum, Indonesia will reaffirm its role as a leader of the Global South that consistently calls for global governance reform to create a more just and inclusive global system,” said Teddy.
