President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Governors and Deputy Governors of Papua Mountains and Bangka Belitung province for 2025-2030 term, Thursday (04/17).

John Tabo and Ones Pahabol were inaugurated as Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua Mountains, while Hidayat Arsani and Hellyana was inaugurated as Governor and Deputy Governor of Bangka Belitung Islands.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 39/P of 2025 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Governor and Deputy Governor for 2025-2030 period. Deputy for Apparatus Administration Affairs of Ministry of State Secretariat Nanik Purwanti read the Decree.

President Prabowo then took an oath of the regional leaders.

“I do solemnly swear to fulfil my duties as governor/deputy governor to the best of my abilities and in the fairest way possible, to uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia by all means, and to execute all laws and regulations as straightforwardly as possible, as well as to dedicate myself to the service of the community, the homeland, and the nation,” the oath reads.

Afterwards, the President presented the rank symbol to the newly inaugurated Governors and Deputy Governors, followed by the signing of the minutes of inauguration.

The ceremony was concluded with congratulatory greetings from the President and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming. (BPMI) (EST/LW)
