President Prabowo Invites Young Officers and Families to Presidential Palace

A warm and friendly atmosphere sparked at the middle courtyard of the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, on Wednesday (7/22), after the Prasetya Perwira Ceremony of 2026—the inauguration of young officers of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri)—had ended.
Following the official inauguration ceremony, President Prabowo invited the young officers and families to a banquet as a sign of respect and gratitude to the officers’ families who blessed their sons and daughters to serve the country.
“To the parents and families, on behalf of the people of Indonesia, I would like to express my respect and gratitude. Thank you for giving your blessings to your children to be owned by the nation. Behind every officer who stands tall today, there were mothers’ prayers, fathers’ determination, and families’ dedication. Once again, I convey my utmost respect and gratitude,” stated the President in his remarks during the inauguration.
The banquet presented a special moment that gathered the young officers and their families in a camaraderie atmosphere. Many parents felt that day was not only the beginning of their children’s service to the nation, but also the culmination of their children’s long journey full of prayers, hard work, and sacrifice.
The shared moment became even more memorable with a video showing the processions during the Prasetya Perwira inauguration ceremony of 2026. The video reminded the invitees of the moment of taking the oath, pinning of officer rank insignia, and rendering of a salute to the President, who served as the ceremony’s inspector. Many families captured the moment with their smartphones, while others enjoyed the moment of pride watching their children’s achievement.
Various traditional cuisines were served, while the sound of music accompanied, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. At times, laughter and conversations could be heard as family members shared stories about the young officers’ journey and the challenges they had overcome to earn the rank of Second Lieutenant and Second Police Inspector.
The Palace banquet concluded the meaningful agenda of the 2026 Prasetya Perwira Ceremony. Behind a solemn inauguration ceremony lies a story about families, dedication, and hope. From the Palace’s courtyard, young officers have started their new chapter of serving the country. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RD/MMB)
