Ladies and Gentlemen gathered here today;

Thank you for welcoming me. I came to see the conditions on Miangas Island, the northernmost island of the Republic of Indonesia. I just arrived from the Philippines, and it turns out this island is quite close. And, we are grateful, I am the second President visiting Miangas, after President Jokowi. He inaugurated the airport that I will improve and maintain it, so it becomes even better.

I have inspected several places, [including] the community health center (Puskesmas). The Minister of Health whispered to me, “Sir, for so many years since the era of President Soeharto, this community health center has never been renovated.”

Well, we are going to renovate all community health centers across Indonesia immediately.

Has this school been renovated yet this year?

Yes, sir. The state vocational high school was recently revitalized. However, the junior high school is still in poor condition, both in terms of the rooms and overall appearance. There are also several rooms that remain damaged.

By December, we will inaugurate 1,386 fishing villages nationwide. Hopefully, there will be a fishing village here soon. If construction starts next month, how many months will it take?

In five months, you will have a good fishing village. With the airport already [been established] in Miangas, perhaps we can distribute the fish to the market, so that income increases correspondingly. I think so.
We are also going to buy school supplies for the children. Furthermore, we will strengthen … the network so that mobile phones can work here. We have Minister Meutya here. She is the Minister of Communications and Digital Affairs, and she will provide mobile phones, right?
