Indonesia, Australia Agree to Enhance Strategic Cooperation

President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (11/14) received a courtesy call from Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese in the Peruvian capital of Lima.

The courtesy call provided an opportunity for the two leaders to strengthen diplomatic ties and enhance the cooperation between Indonesia and Australia across multiple strategic sectors.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Albanese expressed appreciation for President Subianto’s global geopolitical initiatives, highlighting the Indonesian President’s first official overseas visit to China and the United States of America.

The Australian Prime Minister also expressed hope for the continued strengthening of Indonesia-Australia cooperation, particularly in the fields of agriculture, education, and health.

“I want to see more and more cooperation between our two great nations. I look forward to  relationship in the future,” Mr Albanese said.

In the meantime, President Subianto underscored the strong friendship between Indonesia and Australia, while stressing the commitment to improving cooperation with Australia across various sectors.

“We consider Australia a very good friend of Indonesia. We would like more and more closer relationship, more and more Australian participation in our economy,” he said, while expressing appreciation for the cooperation between the two countries.
