President Prabowo Confers Bintang Mahaputera State Decorations on Seven TNI Figures

President Prabowo Subianto conferred Bintang Mahaputera state decorations on seven figures of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) during the ceremony commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the TNI in Cilangkap, Jakarta, Monday (10/05).

The conferment of the state decorations was based on Presidential Decree Number 87/TK of 2026 on the Conferment of State Decorations. The decree was read out by Military Secretary to the President Major General Wahyu Yudhayana.

The seven recipients of the Bintang Mahaputera are as follows:

  1. General of the TNI (Ret.) Djamari Chaniago, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs for the 2025–2026 period, received Bintang Mahaputera Adipurna state decoration;
  2. General of the TNI (Ret.) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Defense, received Bintang Mahaputera Adipurna state decoration;
  3. General of the TNI Agus Subiyanto, Commander of the TNI, received Bintang Mahaputera Adipurna state decoration;
  4. General of the TNI Tandyo Budi Revita, Vice Commander of the TNI, received Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana state decoration;
  5. General of the TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army, received Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana state decoration;
  6. Admiral of the TNI Muhammad Ali, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, received Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana state decoration; and
  7. Air Chief Marshal of the TNI M. Tonny Harjono, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force, received Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana state decoration.

After reading of the decree, President Prabowo personally pinned the state decorations on the recipients.

The state decorations were conferred in recognition of the recipients’ outstanding service in supporting the advancement, development, and strengthening of the TNI, as well as their dedication and service, which have received broad recognition at both the national and international levels. The conferment also served as a form of the state’s appreciation for the recipients’ dedication, contributions, and service to the nation. (BPMI) (EST/MMB)
