President Prabowo Subianto (10/23) affirmed that his administration is on the right track in implementing various national strategic programs.

He emphasized that a number of strategic programs ranging from food self-sufficiency, the strengthening of Danantara (the national sovereign wealth fund), to the implementation of single-window policy for exports are important steps toward safeguarding the nation’s interests and security.

“My fellow Indonesians, what the Government is working on is for our safety: realizing food self-sufficiency, strengthening Danantara, and implementing a single-window policy for exports. We have achieved many progresses. Therefore, be confident because we are on the right track,” the President said in a Plenary Cabinet Meeting marking the second years of the Government’s real work for the nation, at the Presidential Palace Jakarta, on Wednesday (10/21).

He also underscored that the free nutritious meals (MBG) program is a strategic investment for future generation. Therefore, the Government has taken several enforcement measures and carried out internal reforms to ensure that the program is optimally executed. In terms of enforcement to safeguard the program, there are so far 13 individuals named as suspects, while 203 people were examined by the Attorney General’s Office, 353 individuals were dishonorably dismissed, and 2,600 people are currently under investigation by the Inspectorate of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

The President also called on all related institutions to take firm actions against any violations.

“Do not hesitate. Dismiss them and clean up the system until it is completely clean. The MBG program is strategic and extremely important for the future of our children,” he emphasized.

On that occasion, President Prabowo also expressed his appreciation for the progress of 10,000 Merah Putih (Red-and-White) Village Cooperatives, which are now operational.

Meanwhile, in the development of basic infrastructure, President Prabowo highlighted the achievements of the housing renovation program, which has made improvements to approximately 440,000 housing units, as well as the renovation of nearly 90,000 schools during the first two years of his administration.

He also expressed his appreciation for the acceleration of construction of approximately 5,000 bridges, connecting around 12,000 villages, carried out through the Bridge Task Force.

“I would like to thank the Bridge Task Force, led by Pak Maruli, for your success in bringing the number of bridges completed to nearly 5,000,” the President said.

The Government is also continuing to strengthen healthcare services through the construction of regional hospitals. President Prabowo stated that funding had been allocated for 66 regional hospitals, 22 of which have been completed. In addition, the development of public service malls and the digitalization of government services continue to be promoted, particularly to improve service quality and the distribution of social assistance.

In closing, President Prabowo expressed his appreciation to all Cabinet members for their support and cooperation throughout the first two years of his administration. He also extended his gratitude to the prominent national figures who have joined the Presidential Advisory Council, noting that their participation reflects the spirit of national unity.

“I would like to thank the national figures who have joined the Presidential Advisory Council. It is an honor for me to have so many distinguished figures on board. My thanks go to Pak Chairul Tanjung, Pak Wiranto, and Pak Hatta Rajasa,” the he said.

President Prabowo further emphasized that unity and solidarity across all levels of government are essential to addressing the various challenges faced during the nation’s development. He stressed that the achievements made so far should serve as a source of motivation to address existing shortcomings, improve performance, and accelerate the implementation of priority programs.

“There are still much work to be done, many challenges to overcome, and many shortcomings to address. We must work together to overcome them. We have to work as a team,” the President concluded. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/TM)
