President Prabowo Subianto: Synergy, Collaboration Key to Economic Stability
President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of synergy and collaboration among all stakeholders, including Bank Indonesia and other stakeholders in banking sectors, in maintaining economic stability and driving national transformation.
“Synergy, collaboration, cooperation, unity, and harmony are the formulas for a nation’s success. This is a lesson learned from history,” the President said in his remarks at the 2024 Annual Meeting of Bank Indonesia at the Bank Indonesia Office Complex in Jakarta, Friday (11/29).
The President expressed his appreciation for Bank Indonesia and the entire banking sector for their efforts in maintaining national economic stability.
The President also praised the theme of the meeting, namely “Synergy to Strengthen Stability and National Economic Transformation,” which underscores the importance of stability in driving transformation.
On that occasion, President Prabowo also shared his views on Indonesia’s economic potential, which is increasingly recognized on the international stage. Reflecting on his recent overseas trips, including attending the APEC and G20 Summits, the President said that several global economic experts acknowledged Indonesia’s highly advantageous position.
“Almost all consensus points to the fact that Indonesia is in a highly advantageous position in terms of resources. We possess nearly all the elements required to become a developed country,” the President stated.
The President also expressed his gratitude for the banking sector’s contributions to managing Indonesia’s economy. He believes that all parties within the banking sector, particularly those responsible for policy making, play a crucial role.
“I extend my gratitude to the Governor of Bank Indonesia, the Bank Indonesia leadership, financial authorities, decision-makers, and all those responsible for formulating and managing Indonesia’s economy, including my Ministers and Coordinating Ministers, as well as prominent government officers, not just of the present but also from the past,” he remarked.
