President Prabowo Subianto Welcomed Warmly by Jombang Residents
President Prabowo Subianto, on Thursday (08/27), arrived in Jombang regency, East Java province. Upon arrival in the City of Islamic Students (santri), the President was warmly welcomed by residents lined up along the route to the location of the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress.
Upon entering the Jombang area, public enthusiasm was visible along President Prabowo’s route to the Untung Surapati Field, Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School. At the location, he was scheduled to attend and officially open the 35th NU Congress.
The public lined up on both sides of the road to welcome the presidential motorcade. Children, adults, and seniors gathered alongside participants of the 35th NU Congress, all hoping to catch a close glimpse of the Head of State’s arrival.
Some residents carried and brandished small red-and-white flags as the President’s vehicle passed by, while others raised their hands to wave at President Prabowo.
From atop the Maung tactical vehicle, President Prabowo responded to the warm welcome by waving back to the crowd. Occasionally, he turned to both sides of the road to greet residents waiting for his arrival.
The atmosphere grew even warmer as the Maung vehicle carrying the President came to a brief stop several times along the route, allowing him to shake hands with residents lining the roadside.
These brief moments were met with public fervor. Residents pressed forward to shake hands while President Prabowo continued to greet them before resuming his trip to the Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School.
The warm reception from Jombang residents added a special note to President Prabowo’s trip to the 35th NU Congress. Amid the lively atmosphere of the forum, the exchange of greetings and handshakes between President Prabowo and the public created a cordial atmosphere throughout the journey to the venue.
