President Prabowo Subianto Monday (09/29) attended the mass handover ceremony for 26,000 subsidized housing units under the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) program, at Pesona Kahuripan, Cileungsi, Bogor regency.

The moment was marked by heartfelt joy as beneficiaries received their house keys, for the program represents not only a home but also a symbol of certainty and peace of mind for their families.

Samsul Bahri, an online motorcycle taxi driver, could not hide his gratitude as he received the keys to his home after over a decade living in rented homes.

“It feels incredible. I am so happy because I’ve been waiting so long for a house, and now I am truly grateful to finally have one,” he expressed.

According to Samsul, the subsidized housing program under President Prabowo’s administration has brought significant convenience, especially with its no-down-payment policy, adding that his main goal in acquiring a home was to ensure comfort for his family.

“When we own a house, we can work more calmly. We can focus on our family, making ends meet,” Samsul said, who had rented since 2012.

Rohman, a farmer from Indramayu, shared a similar feeling. For him, the subsidized housing program was the answer to a prayer he had held since 2010, after years of moving from one rented home to another.

“It’s all for the family, so the children can have peace of mind and no longer have to move around. It feels peaceful and calm to be together with my wife and children,” he said.

Julianus Silalahi, a mobile coffee vendor, also expressed his gratitude. Since 2011, he and his family had only been able to live in rented houses. Now, he hopes to encourage his fellow traders to take advantage of the program.

“My hope for the future is to invite my friends to benefit from this housing program because the environment is pleasant, the service is good, and the support is excellent,” he said.

Another story comes from Zulkifli, the father of the late Affan Kurniawan, who received a government-donated home.

For his family, the home is not only a roof over their heads but also a profound blessing after so many years of living in rented houses.

Alhamdulillah, my family and I are truly grateful. I would like to express my gratitude to President Prabowo Subianto. This has been a tremendous help for us,” he said.

The emotional and joyful atmosphere served as tangible proof that the FLPP subsidized housing program not only provides shelter but also brings new hope to millions of Indonesians living in poverty. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RIF/MUR)
