President Prabowo Subianto Hosts Iftar Gathering with Islamic Leaders at Merdeka Palace

President Prabowo Subianto, on Thursday (03/05), hosted an iftar gathering with prominent Islamic leaders and leaders of Islamic organizations at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
The event took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere, in keeping with the spirit of the holy month of Ramadhan.
“Tonight, President Prabowo Subianto is breaking fast with Rais Aam of Nahdlatul Ulama, K.H. Miftachul Achyar; the General Chairman of Muhammadiyah, Prof. Haedar Nashir; and the General Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council, K.H. Anwar Iskandar, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta,” stated Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the President and the Islamic leaders also discussed recent geopolitical developments.
According to the Cabinet Secretary, the discussion focused on the public’s readiness for the upcoming Eid holiday, as well as the development in global geopolitical dynamics that are currently of concern to the international community.
“While breaking the fast, President Prabowo Subianto exchanged views and discussed the Government’s preparations for Eid al-Fitr, as well as global geopolitical dynamics,” Teddy added.
The gathering underscored President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to maintaining communication and silaturahmi with prominent Islamic figures and leaders of Islamic organizations, particularly during this holy month of Ramadhan, which upholds values of togetherness and brotherhood.
At the end of his statement, Teddy extended greetings to those who are fasting.
