Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Group Lunch Meeting with the Indonesia Onward Cabinet ahead of Retirement from the Presidency, at the State Palace, Jakarta, October 18, 2024

On this auspicious occasion, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your support and your hard work for this country. And I hope that what we have done in the past ten years will be beneficial for our beloved people, country, and nation.

And I would also like to congratulate President-elect, Retired General Prabowo Subianto and all his cabinet members whom he introduced to the public yesterday. We pray that we can continue all the good deeds that we have done, improve what is still not good, and correct what is wrong so that, once again, all we do will be beneficial for our nation, state, and people.

And I would like to apologize profusely to you for all of my shortcomings in my interaction and my communication with you during my leadership in the Indonesia Onward Cabinet. I apologize for all that I have done which are not pleasing to all of you.

I will go home to Solo on Sunday afternoon. If you want to go to Yogya via the toll road, you can also visit Solo via the same route. If you want to go to Surabaya via the toll road and you have to pass by Solo, please take the opportunity to visit my house if you want to.

Once again, please accept my apologies. That concludes my remarks. I thank you.
