President Prabowo Welcomes Sistema Group to Discuss Partnership

President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday (11/20) had a meeting with Sistema Group delegates at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. The meeting was a follow-up discussion between the Government and Sistema, which was previously held in St. Petersburg, Russia, in mid-2025.
Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board/CEO of Danantara Rosan Roeslani, explained that Sistema Group is one of the largest conglomerations with a strong portfolio of businesses. He also said that Russian Ambassador to Indonesia attended the meeting.
“We had a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Indonesia together with Sistema Group, whom we previously met in St. Petersburg. Sistema is one of the largest conglomerations in Russia. Sistema’s owner, CEO, and group director attended the meeting,” said Rosan to the media.
He explained the main focus of the meeting was the partnership in the health sector. Sistema has initiated discussions with Bio Farma and Kimia Farma in Bandung. For the record, Sistema manages more than 160 hospitals in Russia and is a major producer of patented medicines and pharmaceutical products.
“Previously, Sistema had a meeting with Bio Farma and Kimia Farma in Bandung, for future partnership. The meeting we had today was to follow up on the previous meeting,” said Rosan.
In addition to the health sector, Sistema showed its interest in the development of the passenger electric ship industry with a capacity of 100-200 people. Rosan explained that Sistema is one of the biggest shipyard industry players in Russia.
“There have been preliminary discussions, and they plan to build a manufacturing facility here,” he said.
Sistema also has a large portfolio in the hospitality sector. According to Roslan, Sistema also showed its interest in managing potential hotels in Indonesia. It will also open up a cooperation opportunity by sending Russian language teachers to Indonesian universities.
“The cooperation in the Russian language, they will send teachers to universities that have a Russian language major,” he said.
Although there are many sectors to be discussed, Roslan emphasized that it is still in the initial stage. At the moment, the main priority is to accelerate the licensing and technical process, including by the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM).
