Cabinet Secretary: President Putin Expresses His Appreciation to President Prabowo

President Prabowo is warmly welcomed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at Kremlin Palace, Moscow, on Monday (04/13).

A special moment was shown at the 5-hour meeting between President Prabowo Subianto with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at Kremlin Palace, Moscow, on Monday (04/13). During the official meeting, President Prabowo extended Easter greetings to President Putin and the Russian people.

“The greetings demonstrated a respect for the Russian tradition and religious holy days,” said Cabinet Secretary.

President Putin expressed his appreciation to President Prabowo for the greetings. President Putin stated that the greetings felt special since Indonesia is known as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world.

“President Putin has very much welcomed and shown his appreciation for the Easter greetings, as it is delivered by the President who leads a country with the largest Muslim population in the world,” Teddy said.

President Putin also emphasized that Russia is a multiconfessional country that promotes diversity and tolerance. In that context, various religious holy days are celebrated and honored as part of the national life.

“President Putin stated that Russia is a multiconfessional country that acknowledges multiple religions and celebrates their holy days,” he added.

Beyond bilateral meetings and strategic partnerships, this meeting reflected mutual respect and tolerance as a main foundation in intercountry relations. It was also a strong symbol of Indonesia and Russia’s friendship, apart from their religious background differences. These differences are not barriers, instead they serve as a bridge to strengthen the two countries’ relations and mutual understanding amidst global dynamics.
